Commissioned by Waste2Taste Café, this project celebrates the community around the café—a social enterprise grounded in surplus food, dignity, and connection. The portraits were made collaboratively with café regulars, who stepped behind the camera to direct, pose, and photograph one another. Each image is paired with a handwritten “I am…” statement.

The finished work now forms part of Waste2Taste’s permanent collection and is installed in the café.
